Ministry Highlight: Mehale Ketema Kale Heywet Church

"The Mehale Ketema Kale Heywet Church is located in the town of Debre Zeit, Ethiopia. Debre Zeit (meaning “Mount of Olives”) is located south east of Addis Ababa and is home to the Ethiopia Airforce.

The Mehale Ketema Kale Heywet Church currently has approximately 1200+ active members and plays a symbolic role in evangelizing and discipling within their community. Their strategy is to take a holistic approach to God’s great commission by living out the Word of God and engaging God’s people through community, outreach, evangelism and discipleship."

While in Ethiopia, we will be hosting a marriage conference at this church. We are not sure how many people to expect, but we are prepared! After studying the "Sacred Marriage" curriculum, we've decided to use that as a basis for what we will talk about. I feel so humbled by the whole thing (who am I to teach about marriage?). But, I am in confident in God's mercy, goodness, and direction. I'm a willing vessel, Lord!

Also, I wanted to update our "list" for everyone. Can I just say that the response to this has been nothing short of amazing. Our friends and family have stepped up in a BIG way, and we are so very thankful. These are amazing seeds that will be planted in fertile soil, and it's so very exciting to share this with all of you!

• 5-6 Washable Ink Pads (Multi-Colored, not green)
• 3 Antennae Head Bands
• 10-15 Black Felt Circles (3-4 in diameter)
• A few small cones
• Color bands for teams*

* The team would like to purchase some of the items while in Africa to support local business, if you prefer to make a cash donation for any of these items, please make a note as to how you would like your gift used.
