The Journey to Africa- Susan's Post for Thur, Fri, and Saturday

Hi all!! We are three days in and must apologize for the delay.  It's been really awesome!!

Everyone arrived in Ethiopia Saturday morning. It was a long flight but The Wehners, Wilsons and the Shaws arrived together and were warmly greeted by Wondimu, Kebede, and Yoseph.  They recognized Chad and were delighted to have everyone here. We loaded up and went to pick up Jay and Kimberly, who had arrived much earlier Saturday morning.

We were off to exchange our money and visit the outdoor market for special Ethiopian spices.  We'll have to share pictures because some things you just can't describe. The driving in Addis is another thing that can only be appreciated by actually experiencing it.  Oh!! And the road to Debre Zeit-hold on!!! Sure glad God is with us! Ha!!

We arrived at a lovely Hotel, Asham Africa on Bishoftu Lake, and were pleasantly surprised by the clean, safe and beautiful rooms that overlook a lovely, serene lake.  We enjoyed dinner outside with the lake in the background.
Everyone headed off to get a goodnight's sleep and to make up for the overnight flight (coach-oof). That was a little rough.
Just wait until you here from the team about Sunday and Monday!!!
A note to Nikki, you are "humbly commanded" to be here on the next trip!!
