100 Days of Practice (It's not about Me!)

Last night, we had our first real planning meetings for the marriage conference we are hosting in Ethiopia. We opened with food (of course) and prayer. Wow..... While we were praying I was just so overwhelmed. I was feeling so very thankful, and honestly very unworthy. I'm going to go across the globe with these 3 other couples (who are just plain awesome btw) and have something to offer the people of Ethiopia and Uganda?? Me?

Then, I felt it... crystal clear. Mary, this isn't about you.

It's not about what I have to offer or give, it's about being an ambassador of Love. Wow, what a privilege! How did I get so blessed to have this opportunity? Just, wow.

So, on that note... God really encouraged me last night in these things:

*I need to stop worrying about paying for the trip. Seriously.... everything will be all right.

*I need to pray. For the people and the things that I will see and encounter. For my heart, for the preparations, for my team mates and their finances. Just, pray Mary!

*I have 100 days (100 days, y'all) to practice being an ambassador of Christ's love. So, I'm committing to doing something every day until I leave for the trip... I'm really hoping to have some great stories to tell you!
