Ministry Supplies: How You Can Help

The eight of us just returned from an amazing weekend. In addition to some quality time together, we tasted Ethiopian cuisine, attended an Ethiopian church service (conducted in Amharic, the primary language of Ethiopia), and did some serious planning and preparations. I am continually humbled that I am in this position. Wow, God, just WOW!

But, back to the point of this post. Now that we are further along in our planning process, we have a list of ministry and other supplies that we need to take to Africa with us. This trip is being entirely funded by the 8 of us (the Wilsons, Shaws, Wehners, and Hartwells) and our generous and amazing friends and family.

If you happen to have any of these items at home, or are willing to purchase and donate them, we would be incredibly grateful. I will continually update this list for items that have been purchased, or if new items are needed- so check back! Also, please remember that things donated for this trip do not need to be brand new, but should be in good condition. We are acting as Ambassadors of a GOOD God, and we want our gifts to represent that.

Ministry Supplies:

• 2,000 small beads "Pony Beads"
• 300 Large Smiley Face Pony Beads Similar to this: LINK
• 300 Pipe Cleaners (various colors OK)
• 35 Boxes 24 count crayons
• 20 sheets White tissue paper
• Stickers (Happy stickers, so nothing military or skulls, etc).
• 5-6 Washable Ink Pads (Multi-Colored, not green)
• 3 Antennae Head Bands
• Face Paint (Black, Green, Red)
• 10-15 Black Felt Circles (3-4 in diameter)
• 300 Gallon Sized "Ziploc" Style Bags (any brand)
• Snack, to be purchased in Africa (300 kids @50 cents a piece) $150

Gifts (for Pastors, Children, and Local Ministries):

• Men's Ties 
• Flip Flops
• Puzzles (Ages 3-12)
• Outdoor Team Games (Ages 3-12) (Small, easy to fit in luggage)
• Crafts for Children's Camp (Ages 3-12)
• Solar Powered Lights (We may consider purchasing these while in Africa)
